| ::: TEACH EUROPE SEMINARS 2003 |
| The
Teach Europe program offers yearly workshop
seminars intending to provide participants
with fair and updated information about the European
Union, its multicultural nature, its economy,
role and impact on today's world, and its relations
with the United States.
It is a unique chance for specialists of the European
Union and educators to meet and exchange knowledge
and experience. This program also features a
general website for the teachers and their students,
and a pedagogical resources kit, for direct
classroom use, will be given to all participants.
This year, the Teach Europe seminars will take
place in three different locations to choose from
in the New York area: New Haven, New Brunswick
and New York (one day per location).
The Teach Europe seminars are designed for high
school teachers of EU language, Social Studies,
and History. No previous training in European
studies is necessary.
Each set of four workshops will be preceded
by a keynote speech setting the main themes
for the day and will be followed by a convivial
European lunch and a panel discussion to
open up the debate. At every seminar day, participants
will work with professors and will be exposed
to innovative teaching strategies.
The Teach Europe Seminars 2003 are planned
in accordance with nationwide Continuing Education
Units standards. Upon completion of the program,
CEUs or Credit Hours will be granted to the participants.
