Fee is $25 per person for one seminar day, which includes all texts, materials, lunch, and the resource kit. Only one seminar day can be attended by each participant.

As our goal is to promote interdisciplinarity, priority will be given to teachers registering in teams of two or three, preferably from different fields of teaching (EU Languages, Social Studies, History).

The Teach Europe program offers yearly workshop seminars intending to provide participants with fair and updated information about the European Union, its multicultural nature, its economy, role and impact on today's world, and its relations with the United States.

It is a unique chance for specialists of the European Union and educators to meet and exchange knowledge and experience. This program also features a general website for the teachers and their students, and a pedagogical resources kit, for direct classroom use, will be given to all participants.
The Teach Europe seminars are designed for high school teachers of EU language, Social Studies, and Art. No previous training in European studies is necessary.
The Teach Europe program is developed in partnership with
the Consulate General of Germany,
the
French Embassy's Cultural Services ,
the Consulate General of Italy as well as
the
American Association of Teachers of French,
the
American Association of Teachers of German,
the
Goethe Institut,
the Italian-American Committee on Education and the Universities of Yale, Rutgers, Columbia and Berkeley.
The
European Union Delegation in Washington, DC and in New York is also a partner of the program.

Each set of four workshops will be preceded by a keynote speech setting the main themes for the day and will be followed by a convivial European lunch and a panel discussion to open up the debate. At every seminar day, participants will work with professors and will be exposed to innovative teaching strategies.

The Teach Europe Seminars 2005 are planned in accordance with nationwide Continuing Education Units standards. Upon completion of the program, CEUs or Credit Hours will be granted to the participants.
