The European
Union is a role model for the rest of the world. From
it's birth, it has sought to bring about political, social,
and economic unity throughout the continent of Europe.
The 27 current member countries, though greatly diverse,
share the same love for democracy, and peace. It respects
human rights, and it's achievements in the field are remarkable
as are its contributions to developing countries. The
European Union is a symbol for a better future, and it's
accomplishments in a plethora of fields serves as inspiration
to me. The European Union's positive involvement in human
rights issues, and it's charitable deeds towards developing
countries mean that there is hope for a better future
for my generation. I am a strong advocate of a person’s
natural rights and want a career in Europe in that field,
and look up to the Union on matters of that subject.
Citizens of
all member nations are granted their basic human rights
which include the right to life, dignity, and equality.
The death penalty, which I'm strongly against, is abolished,
and the Union is an advocate in abolishing capital punishment
worldwide. The European Union is also the largest donor
of foreign aid; 11 billion dollars are dedicated towards
relief for underpriviledged countries each year. I am
from Bangladesh, and many programs to help the poor are
funded from donated money from the Union. Democracy and
safety are important parts of my life, and the Union’s
attempts to protect the world mean security for me. Member
nations participate with each other and countries around
the world to discuss among other matters, how war can
be avoided and terrorism stopped. Combining their safety
forces to fight international crime, guarantees a secure
world for me. Democracy is also a factor of the Union
that I respect. It has campaigned to bring to justice
to those wrongly accused, and worked to prevent any threats
to democracy.
The European
Union's many feats are evidence of it's greatness and
cause me to admire it. The Union has been dedicated to
provide a secure environment, to millions of people including
myself, and has done it’s share to prevent terrorism.
The accomplishments of the Union in the human arena field
inspire me to carry on with my goals in that field. The
European Union has had a positive impact on the lives
of numerous people, and it is inevitable that many more
in the future will be surrounded by opportunities from
this alliance.
