The European Union means a lot to me because I was born
in Poland which is part of the European Union. Also, the
European Union was established in 1993 which is the year
that I was born. This makes me the same age as the European
Union. The European Union also means freedom to me. The
European Union guarantees the freedom of movement of people,
goods, services, and capital. It also means unity to me
because the European Union unites 26 different countries
into one. The European Union also adopted a standard currency
system, the Euro, which means that in most of the countries
that are in the European Union, the monetary system is
the same. The European Union also means unity to me because
it is slowly blending the cultures of 26 different countries.
The countries are becoming more like one another in that
cultures and languages are being shared more and more.
Slowly, the 26 different countries are turning into one
country. The European Union also means unity because it
got rid of some of the borders around several countries.
Citizens of one country can now go to a neighboring country
without having to show their passports. The European Union
means a lot to me in several ways and I hope that it continues
making improvements (financial, social, political, etc.)
in the lives of the citizens that live in the European
Union
