The
European Union is made up of 27 countries. Many were enemies
of in the past. The creation of the European Union helped
to create peace and stability, safety and security, and
economic and social solidarity. To me, the words peace
and stability mean to me that maybe the events leading
up to World War II would not be repeated. I feel that
with so many countries working together to achieve peace
and maintain stability in their countries it is less likely
that there would be another big war.The words safety and
security say to me that the countries of the European
Union are working together to help each other with things
that impact the safety and security of the people that
live and work in the countries. Although each country
has its own laws, there are also laws that all countries
need to follow. This makes it easier for business. The
words economic and social stability make me feel that
as long as people are earning money and are free it is
also less likely that there will be a war. The European
Union allows people of different countries to travel freely
from one country to another with out showing a passport.
Also, since almost all the countries of the European Union
use the same currency it makes it easier to do business
together and travel. Each country in the European Union
is different and has different cultures. Hopefully they
won’t lose their individuality because of what the
European Union makes them have in common. I have traveled
to France, Italy and England, and since each country is
different, it makes them even more fun to visit. But it
is also important that these countries stay united and
peaceful to prevent wars and conflicts.
